How The Tuning Process Works:

  1. You will be contacted within 24-48 business hours by us via email after purchasing the tune.
  2. Once contacted, you will be asked to complete an online tuning form where you will fill out your modifications, the fuel you use, and options such as launch control.
  3. After submitting the tuning form you will receive your Customized Stratified Flash Tune via email. We aim to send out tunes within a 48-hour time window however, during the busy seasons it can take up to 5 business days.

The Numbers

Below is a sample dyno from a WRX running an intake on 91 octane fuel vs stock. Additional flow modifications and higher octane fuel (93, ethanol) will result in more performance.

The Options

STuned Crackles:

This feature adds crackling/burbling sounds to your exhaust when lifting off the throttle and shifting gears. The frequency and intensity of the sounds highly depend on your current engine speed during lift-off and most importantly: YOUR EXHAUST SETUP. A free-flowing exhaust usually results in more sound.

When purchased a separate TUNE FILE is sent containing the crackles.

This additional TUNE FILE can be used to Enable/Disable crackles. You must reflash from your original tune to the additional tune and vice versa.

** We have not tested all exhausts for sound quality. During testing, we found that exhaust gas temperatures have stayed relatively the same and catalytic converter temperatures had no significant increase compared to having no crackles. However, the exhaust as a whole does experience higher intensity sound/pressure waves.**

A ProTune is required for individuals who:

  • Have exceptionally good fuel (race gas, 100+ Octane)
  • Operate under extreme conditions (road racing, drag racing, HPDE)
  • Have any Big Turbo kit
  • Have an Auxiliary Fuel System
  • Have a modified or hybrid stock turbo

    I just finished up with the MAF calibration process after flash tuning my FA WRX. Stratified and Clayton exceeded my expectations in every way with the experience and results. Clayton was receptive to everything that I was looking for and was quick to point out some parameters that could be improved on. My car now drives better than I could have imagined. I can feel a drastic difference in power through the entire RPM range. The power feels smooth and consistent and the car no longer wants to fall flat after 4k RPM or like it’s held back by its own weight between shifts. It also feels like it’s operating within safer parameters, which is critical for me because I drive the car most days. I really can’t say enough good things about Stratified Automotive Controls and Clayton.
