Tuning (Flash and Custom Tunes)

Stratified Auto is offering non-tangible non-transferable irrevocable goods, and therefore we do not issue refunds once the tuning process has started. Once the Tuning Form has been completed, the purchase is finalized. However, the purchase can be refunded prior to submitting vehicle specific information if unclaimed WITHIN 30 days. This also applies to additonal options for tunes such as datalog refinements. Unused datalog refinements cannot be exchanged for another product or service. Datalog refinements can be applied to a flash tune of the same owner within 6 months of purchase. Custom Tune purchases are finalized once the first map is sent to the customer, the transaction is considered non-refundable. It is the responsibility of the customer to carry out the custom tuning process until the finalized product. Tunes can't be transferred or re-sold from one individual to another. Only the original purchaser can make use of tuning services purchased or packaged with other parts sold by Stratified Auto. Custom tunes where the customer hasn't communicated with us for over 6 months are automatically considered completed and closed off.

Stratified Tunes are non-transferable between different vehicles, vehicle owners, or Accessports. Once a tune has been saved for a particular Accessport serial number, Stratified will not resave the same tune for a different serial number. All tune updates or tune modification purchases are referenced to the original Flash or Custom tune purchase and will also be built for the same serial number, vehicle, and owner.

Stratified Parts

Parts manufactured by Stratified Auto are only refundable if they are in brand new, un-opened, and un-used condition. All associated return shipping, brokerage, and duty costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be deducted from the purchase price. If the item qualified for free shipping, actual shipping cost will be deducted from the refund. There is a 10% restocking fee on all items. No returns will be accepted after 30 days. If you are shipping parts back, you must provide a tracking number for the returning part within 7 days of initiating the return. Stratified Auto warranties all of our own in-house parts for 1 year against manufacturing defects, a replacement item will be provided. Improper installation, or use leading to damage is not covered by the warranty.

Flash Tune Credits

Flash Tune credits for part purchases pertain to a single order only and do not accumulate.

Aftermarket Parts

All other parts that we carry, if the item is brand new in un-opened original packaging, there will be a 10% restocking fee except for turbocharger kits that will have a 15% restocking fee. If the item has been opened or taken out of the package, a 25% restocking fee will be due from the customer. If the part is drop shipped from the supplier and Stratified has already ordered the part on behalf of the customer, a restocking fee of 10% will apply even if the customer has not received the part.

Parts that have been installed are not refundable. If the item qualified for free shipping, actual shipping cost will be deducted from the refund.  Stratified Auto does not take responsibility for wrongly placed orders.  Exchanges will be accepted and all shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer. You must initiate a return within 15 days of receiving the part, this time limit is set by to the delivery date on the tracking information. You must provide a tracking number for the returning part within 7 days of initiating the return. Initiating a return can be done through directly emailing us. Refunds will be processed within 48 hours of receiving the part. Keep in mind that it may take 3-5 business days for the funds to clear.

Pricing and Availability

Prices may be changed at any time without further notice as we can't anticipate manufacturer or supplier pricing changes. We reserve the right to change our product's prices at any time without further notice. Product specifications, appearance, options and availability may also change at any time without prior notice. For parts that are not manufactured by Stratified, the availability/stock quantity can change without notice at the manufacturer and this may not be reflected accurately on our website. If you would like an up to date stock check, please send us a message or call ahead of time.

Refunding and Transaction Fees

Stratified is not responsible for any transaction fees that are not under our control and may be incurred as part of the refund process. Stratified can only refund a maximum of the amount received in the currency that the the product is listed. Any payment process transaction fees, currency exchange fees or currency fluctuations are the sole responsibility of the customer. 

Refunds cannot be made for orders older than 6 months. If there is a rare case where such a refund is warranted and it has been longer than 6 months since the purchase, we will offer the refund as store credit.

Additionally to any other fees, any non-refundable third party payment processor fees that are incurred by Stratified during the transaction will be deducted from refunds processed.

ALL refunds (partial or full) will be subject to a payment processor fee deduction which is passed directly to us from the payment processing company. The payment processor fee will depend on the original payment location, payment method used and amount but most will be in the 3% range.**

Shipping and Delivery

Stratified is not responsible for the follow up of undelivered packages or for coordination or communication with freight forwarding companies chosen by clients for delivery purposes. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the recipient of packages accepts and handles them appropriately. For packages shipped outside of the US or Canada or via a freight forwarding company we will ask you for a government issued picture I.D as well as proof of payment (picture of the last 4 digits of the credit card used with your name, or bank statement) for security purposes.

Any import duties, taxes. or brokerage fees are not included in the product price or the shipping and handling costs. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. 


No Unauthorized returns will be accepted. Contact us for a return authorization form at sales@stratifiedauto.com. Shipping charges are non-refundable. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the package arrives safely, purchasing shipping insurance is highly recommended as Stratified Auto is not responsible for damage incurred in transit. Warranty/Exchanges/Refunds only apply to the original buyer.

Manufacturer Warranty

Only manufacturer warranty will apply to parts sold by Stratified Auto. We do not directly warranty any parts. We have limited ability to assist with warranty claims.
