Stratified Notes
Fresh spark plugs gapped to the correct spec will prevent misfires and loss of power under high boost and load conditions. Usually, misfires under wide-open throttle are often related to spark plug gap and worn plugs.
We recommend this one-step colder plug from stock to reduce the chance of pre-ignition in direct injected tuned cars. More Here.
Which Brisk Spark Plug is Right for My Build – Copper vs Iridium Electrode?
Both Copper and Iridium-tipped plugs are one step colder and built with the same quality and resilience that Brisk Racing plugs are known for. The difference is in the wear rate of the electrode (the tip of the plug).
Copper-tipped plugs (due to the nature of the copper material) erode faster and need to be replaced after about 8-10k miles (13-16k km).
Iridium tips wear down at a slower rate and they will last about twice as long as the copper-tipped plugs which will be 15-20k miles (25-30k km).
Description
Brisk Silver Racing ER12S
Brisk Silver Racing ER12S is a special racing spark plug that Brisk supplies to European Rally teams such as PRODRIVE and its heat range is equivalent to NGK heat range 8. Ideal for turbo, supercharged, nitrous and methanol injection engines.
Brisk Silver Racing Spark Plugs have a smaller diameter silver core and conventional open spark hook type earth electrode give an outstanding performance in igniting high octane fuel mixture associated with alternative fuels like CNG, LPG, Propane, E85 blend, Alcohol, LNG, Race Fuels and Nitro.
Silver metal is the single best material for a spark plugs core electrode, as it can dissipate heat fast, resulting in overall lower spark plug temperature and a more powerful spark.
The stronger the spark the faster and better the flame front and flame speed giving smother higher RPM range in engines.
Our Silver Racing range works well with most aftermarket and OEM ignition systems form simple coil and distributor through electronic ignition and powerful direct ignition systems found on modern port and direct injection performance engines.
Brisk Iridium Performance+ Spark Plugs
The ground electrode which is cut centred to centre electrode assures the suppression of flame extinguishing effect at cold starts and does not hinder the flame front propagation into combustion chamber.
Special alloy which is alloyed by Yttrium reduces essentially the burnings of electrodes and enables the flashover from rather long edge by poor demand for a voltage supplied by ignition system.
The Cooper core of ground electrode reduces the temperature by 100 C; thereby it increases a change interval to the value comparable with spark plugs equipped with two Platinum contacts.
Iridium contact on the centre eletrode assures a long change interval. The space between reduced diameter of centre electrode and insulator tip enables a fast evaporation of fuel and prevents formation of soft combustion deposits on the insulator tip.
The cylindrical ending of insulator tip enables very fast achievement of self cleaning temperature after engine start.
The ceramics mass with high content of AI2O3 with increased dielectric strength.
The cooper core of centre electrode increases the thermal conductivity and therefore it enables the insulator tip elongation by sufficient thermal value reserve of spark plug.
The surface protection Zn/Ni extends the resistance to corrosion.
