There's a lot of choices for a protune, especially for the mk7 platform. I chose Stratified initially because I heard they really focused on the customer experience, which is a value of mine. I purchased the tune and accessport through them, and received the accessport within like 2 days, and then we started on refining the tune. For reference, my car is the mk7 GTI w/ DSG, with a downpipe, fmic, and an intake. The first revision of the tune was really really good, quick, and was a lot of fun. The pops are great too. We did months of revisions, each one better than the last, with the final revision being pretty much exactly what I wanted out of the car. My tuner was Jared, and he was really great to work with. I felt he was knowledgeable of the platform, and understood the needs I set for the car. He was prompt in his revisions, answering any questions I had, and I had absolutely no issues. This was the first time I've ever done anything like this, and he was really patient the whole time, which I appreciated a lot. The car rips, and I couldn't be happier with the tune and the overall experience. I've already recommended a lot of people I've met to refer to Stratified for their custom tune.

So I have been running a Stratified E30 tune on my Fiesta ST since December of 2016. Since then I put nearly 20k miles and numerous new modifications to make it a full bolt on stock turbo car. November of 2018 I decided to get a larger turbo (x47r) so I ordered a custom tune from Stratified. I went with E30 and 93 just to have flexibility to use the car for longer trips and go to AutoX and other events like that. I can say hands down that I have nothing but confidence with the tune and the car. Even through the data logs and revisions the car has ran flawlessly. Since installing the turbo around November I have driven 7k hard miles!!! About 1k miles of them were over a 3 day weekend driving trip to Tail of the Dragon and other mountain roads. I have run an AutoX event and pushed the car to its limits. I can say that working with Alex was a pleasure, I had a few questions at times during the data logging process and he was always great about helping me out. If your looking for the best and want to make sure your car reliably fast grab a custom tune from Stratified!

This is my first protune experience ever and i'm glad I worked with stratified on it. The tune is amazing and they run one of the fastest mk6 GTIs pushing about 450whp. I was previously tuned with APR stage 2. Comparing the two, stratified's protune felt faster. One big selling point for me was honestly the fact that stratified had the most reliable crackle tune available for mk6 GTI. (APR offered nothing) Power-wise, stratified definitely felt faster. Virtual dyno read ~264whp/320wtq in 3rd gear. That's 10whp more than APR! (IE intake, 6r intercooler, 3" catted DP, and dv+) Stratified is the real deal, I wish I had chose them first and not waste my money on APR. Shoutout to Jared, my protuner who did an amazing job. Can't wait to work with them again once COBB releases the DSG tune for the mk6 GTI! If anyone else has more questions about the tune/experience, just find me on instagram @anothermk6

Holy %&*$ This with the stratified tune is..well, simply put, more power than I can handle! LOL Engine runs very happily all parameters look great. GOBS of power, more than you will ever need. My car scares me now. Lol Thanks Stratified, you rock!

Alex was a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and was able to answer all of my questions throughout the tuning process. He was very knowledgeable of the Mk7 R platform. The difference between the final tune and the OTS is very noticeable. The car has an almost stock smoothness with a great bump in power.

I'm a return customer from a different platform. I owned a fully bolted E30 MS3 a few years ago, and now I'm fortunate enough to own a MK7 Golf R. Based on my past experience, my tuning choice was a no-brainer. The VW guys are so ingrained to believe canned flash tunes are the best option for this platform. A custom tune is ALWAYS the best choice. Why choose a tune that's a "one size fits all" approach, when you can have a tune designed for YOUR car, YOUR fuel, YOUR conditions? And I've seen the logs on all options; trust me, this is better for your car. Alex has the experience, knowledge, intelligence, and tuning time behind the wheel of the MK7 R to get it where it should have been from the factory. And safer and with better numbers than the other guys. You won't be disappointed.
